Wedding Photography in Leeds and the
North East.
My
name is Elaine Brookes. I
am based in Morley, Leeds and I cover weddings not only in West Yorkshire, but also in
the northeast of England, from where I originate.
Having attended a college
course to get to grips with the basics of photography
in 1999, I then completed two home study courses,
completing assignments for each aspect,
and having work displayed in Morley town hall. I
started wedding photography in 2001 when a work
colleague asked me if I would photograph her wedding,
and having read every book and magazine I could get my
hands on, and listening to every bit of advice I
could, I branched out into wedding
photography, travelling to the Peak District to
undertake two courses on weddings and portraiture,
then gaining valuable experience by assisting a local
wedding photographer.
Every wedding is unique and
different. I love the atmosphere, the excitement,
nerves and happiness which surround every one of these
special events, and I love to see people dressed so
beautifully ready for their big day. Because I love
this work so much I am enthusiastic in trying to take
photographs to help the
couple, with their family and friends, relive it every
time and reflect upon the happy day as they look at
their Album.
I offer three main packages,
all the prices and details of which can be found on
this website. I am open to suggestion, so offer a
flexible approach that should help to make your day
unique and personalised to you, capturing those
special moments, and preserving them for a lifetime in
a pictorial memory. I aim to capture the spirit of
the occasion, laughter, emotion, occasional chaos and
spontaneity. My approach is journalistic, telling a
story of your day from start to finish.
My other passion in life are
my animals. I have horses, Rhodesian ridgeback dogs,
three cats and two ducks, all of whom are regularly
snapped. When I am not shooting the bride and groom's
big day, I may
be found doing pet portraits! Some examples of this

With my family still living
in Washington, Tyne and Wear, I am able to travel to
cover special days in South Shields, Chester le Street,
Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle and Sunderland, as well
as many other areas in that part of the country. I may be able
to travel to other areas, though this could incur
additional travelling costs.
Most of my work comes from
recommendation, so I can become busy, especially in
the summer months, so please contact me to check I am
